Commercial Property Maintenance Services (CPMS)
Scotland’s Railway Buildings and Minor Works Frameworks
When fire devastated Troon Station in 2021, CPMS responded rapidly under Scotland’s Railway Buildings and Minor Works Frameworks. Within hours, the team implemented its Emergency Response Plan, securing the site, coordinating utilities, and supporting investigations. A temporary propping system stabilised structures while canopy glazing was removed for inspection. Demolition began within days, followed by structural checks and platform repairs. Trains resumed service just five days post-incident, with full restoration of Platform 1 by day eight. The success of this urgent recovery effort was due to exemplary partnership working, effective communication with Network Rail and ScotRail, and strong leadership on site. CPMS’s quick mobilisation, in-house expertise and collaborative approach ensured passenger safety and service restoration at pace.
